Photoshoot During Summer at Mount Fuji

Summer offers a lush, green backdrop for a photoshoot with Mount Fuji, creating a vibrant and dynamic setting. While the season brings warm temperatures and colorful landscapes, there are some factors to keep in mind when planning your session.

Pros

Rich Greenery & Clear Blue Skies – Unlike other seasons, summer showcases Fuji with lush green surroundings, deep blue skies, and dramatic cloud formations, making for striking photos.

Warm Weather – With temperatures ranging from 25-30°C (68-86°F), it’s comfortable for light clothing, summer dresses, and airy styles.

Longer Daylight Hours – More time to shoot! Sunrise is around 4:30-5:00 AM, and sunset is close to 7:00 PM, giving us plenty of flexibility.

Cons & Considerations

Low Visibility Due to Haze – Summer is the least reliable season for seeing Mount Fuji, as humidity often causes thick haze that can obscure the peak, especially during midday. Mornings (5-8 AM) offer the best chance of clear views.

Heat & Humidity – Summer in Japan is hot and humid, especially in July and August. If you’re sensitive to heat, an early morning or late afternoon session is best.

Typhoon & Rain Risk – Late summer (August-September) can bring unpredictable weather, including sudden rain showers or typhoons.
