Photoshoot During Cherry Blossom Season at Mount Fuji

Cherry blossom season is one of the most breathtaking times to have a photoshoot with Mount Fuji. The delicate pink sakura framing Japan’s most iconic peak creates a dreamy, once-in-a-lifetime backdrop. However, there are some important factors to consider before booking your session.

Pros

Unmatched Beauty – The combination of sakura and Mount Fuji is picture-perfect, making for truly stunning and romantic images.

Mild Temperatures – Spring temperatures around Fuji typically range from 10-18°C (50-65°F), making it comfortable for outdoor shoots.

Soft Spring Light – The natural lighting during this season is gentle and flattering, especially in the morning and late afternoon.

Cons & Considerations

Visibility Can Be Unpredictable – While Mount Fuji is stunning, it is not always visible due to clouds or haze. The best chances of seeing it are in the early morning (6-9 AM) before the weather warms up. Even in spring, Fuji can be hidden for hours or even days at a time.

Crowds & Tourist Traffic – Cherry blossom season is one of the most popular times in Japan. Locations near Fuji, like Chureito Pagoda or Lake Kawaguchi, get extremely busy. A sunrise or weekday session is recommended for fewer people in the background.

Short Blooming Period – Sakura blossoms are fleeting, usually peaking for only one to two weeks in early to mid-April around Mount Fuji. The exact timing depends on the weather.
