In the heart of Kyoto, where ancient traditions and natural beauty converge, love found its perfect stage in the enchanting Kyoto Gyoen National Garden. As a photographer, I had the incredible opportunity to document a recent surprise proposal that unfolded amidst the lush greenery, during the mesmerizing golden hour.

Kyoto Gyoen National Garden, renowned for its expansive beauty and tranquil ambiance, provided an idyllic backdrop for this special occasion. Having explored the garden before the proposal, I was familiar with its pathways, the best areas for photos, and the serene atmosphere. I knew that by confining our shoot to the greenery area, we would be immersed in a serene oasis, perfect for photographs.  Timing is everything in photography, so I recommended for Sean to get down on one knee 1-2 hours before sunset. We were blessed with the exquisite light of the golden hour. As the sun dipped lower on the horizon, its warm rays filtered through the leaves, casting a soft glow on the couple.

As my couple reveled in their happiness amidst the greenery, we were able to create a visual narrative that captured the very essence of their journey. It was an honor to document their special day, and I am grateful for the opportunity to showcase the magnificence of Kyoto's beautiful natural splendor in their love story.
