Hi! Thank you so much for your interest in having a photoshoot with me. To ensure a seamless experience, I have prepared a list of frequently asked questions for you to review before confirming your booking.
-
I have been photographing professionally since 2014. Because of all of the different types of locations that I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at, I am very comfortable shooting in any weather and lighting condition - but my favourite is natural light.
-
All of Japan! And I love to travel
-
I’m very generous when it comes to time, I’m all about natural connections and allowing myself to create freely, with you. However long it takes to get the shot! Luckily, with years of experience, I’ve learnt how to shoot quickly and effectively. I know when we have the shots and when we need to keep going at it. But, I don’t like to set a time limit, to ensure the creative process unfolds organically. If you would like to plan ahead, I would recommend blocking out anything between 1-3 hours in your calendar (ofcourse longer for weddings)
-
My editing style is typically more warm, rich, contains lots of contrast and deep colours. I give plenty of guidance and direction to achieve the ideal amount of both natural and posed photos. I'm deeply drawn to fiery reds, lush greens, vibrant oranges, and sunlit yellows.

You will receive them via a professional online gallery with forever access (no expiring links on WeTransfer here!)

Yes! I’ll send you few of my favourite photos from your shoot edited, along with the rest for you to choose from.

The weather at Mount Fuji is highly unpredictable, so we cannot always guarantee the ability to reschedule on cloudy days. Rescheduling is subject to my availability or that of my team. We monitor the weather forecast one week in advance, and if there is a concern about rain or heavy snowfall, we will discuss alternative options at that time. These options typically include rescheduling to a different day or selecting an alternative shoot location.
-
I do not do body modifications. I’m happy to make your skin clearer or remove something in the background that is distracting, but not alter your body. Instead, I focus on promoting body confidence and suggesting your best angles during our shoot.
-
Yes! As this does take additional time, on top of my editing process, and advanced skills in photoshop, there would be a fee of ¥20,000 for up to 5 photos, or ¥5000 per photo. Any other changes such as colour adjustments are ¥2000 per photo.
-
In delivering the highest quality, I selectively provide you with the best images. This includes removing any with incorrect focusing, poor lighting, unflattering angles and occasionally excluding repetitive shots. Rest assured, this process is integral to my commitment to quality. It ensures that you receive the best of the best, and is the reason why I don’t give all the photos.
-
If there is absolutely no way we can go ahead with the photoshoot, we can put the deposit towards another date. If you need to reschedule, I need to be told at least 1 week beforehand. Because I have blocked out the day for you, the deposit is non-refundable if we are unable to reschedule.
-
You will receive the final edited photos within 12 business days after you’ve made your selections for portraits and engagements, and up to 21 business days for weddings.
-
Nope, sorry. Giving you my unedited images is essentially giving you my unfinished work. Remember you picked me as your photographer because (I’m assuming) you like my style of images, meaning you like the way the photos are edited and look.

Pop in your details in this form, and I’ll be in touch as soon as possible. If you don’t hear from me within 72 hours, please check the pesky junk folder. I require a 50% deposit. This allows me to book off the day and plan towards the photoshoot. You would pay the remainder on the day of the shoot.
I hope this list addresses any inquiries you may have. However, if there are any unanswered questions, please feel free to send an email to hello@sofiahiramatsu.com and I will respond promptly.
