Solo Portrait Photoshoot in Osu, Nagoya | Nagoya Photographer
Photography is not just about capturing images; it's about creating memories that also last a lifetime. Recently, I had the opportunity to go on a little photoshoot adventure in Osu, Nagoya. Id always wanted to shoot in Osu, so I grabbed by my good friend Olwethu to be my muse. From the vibrant streets to the stunning lighting, our experience was filled with joy and creative inspiration.
Our shoot began just outside Osu Temple, where we were greeted with a kaleidoscope of red and aromas from the market. The timing couldn't have been more perfect as we arrived around 30 minutes before sunset, allowing us to make the most of the golden hour. The soft, warm light gracefully enveloped the surroundings, creating an ethereal ambiance that was just stunning to photograph.
With each shot, I aimed to capture the essence of Osu, but also Olwethu’s outfits and her gorgeous makeup. The combination of traditional Japanese architecture and modern elements made for a visually captivating backdrop.
As the sun began to dip below the horizon I decided to end this part of up the shoot. However, the excitement of the evening was far from over because I really wanted to take Olwethu to one of my favourite Korean restaurants in Osu to have some rabokki—a fusion of ramen and tabokki.
After dinner, we resumed our photo adventure. I stumbled across a block of vibrant red vending machines, standing out amidst the market. The contrast between the mechanical and the traditional elements made for intriguing compositions, and I couldn't resist capturing these too.
