Aurora, My First Exhibition | Nagoya Photo Exhibition
In the ever-evolving world of photography, each project marks a significant milestone in an artist's journey. For me, this was having my work displayed for the first time in an exhibition.
Earlier this year in April, I collaborated with two fellow photographers to capture a plethora of models in a single studio location. The photoshoot unfolded within the confines of a single day, where every piece was meticulously crafted in under eight hours. In a remarkable convergence of talent and vision, models and photographers came together, having only met for the first time on that very day.
Among the many challenges that this shoot posed, the most exhilarating was my first foray into underwater photography. This uncharted territory presented a world of technical intricacies I had never explored before. The models, too, were unaccustomed to this medium, resulting in a profound collaboration where we delved into the unknown together.
My fellow photographer, Becky Alp didn’t want to end the project at the shoot, but instead had the idea of creating an exhibition, combining and displaying all our work together, titling it Aurora.
For me this not only alluded to the breaking dawn but also signified the initiation of my artistic odyssey in Japan. The event represented the commencement of a new chapter.
